It is a good idea to improve our home security to avoid robberies.

Here you have vocabulary that will be useful:

The most famous "security system" for your door. You need a key to open the lock.

Barrel bolt
You usually find these bolts in public restrooms. They offer minimum security.

Deadbolt
Doors usually come with one of these bolts.

Padlock bolt
It's similar to the barrel bolt, but you can use a padlock to secure the bolt.
Hasp
Use this to secure a door or drawer with a padlock.

When you get home, you have to enter a password otherwise the alarm will go off!! They also have different features as motion sensors and and text messages to your cell phone to let you know that something is happening at your home.

Door back lock
This is another security gadget for your home.

Unfortunately, thieves usually use these to break into your houses:

Crowbar
This is the famous "friend" of burglars!!

Bolt cutter
Thieves use this to cut many kinds of bolts.

And don't forget that these always get destroyed:

Door knob

Door handle

.... use this to have all your keys safe and at hand:

Key ring

I hope you have learned new vocabulary today!!

Take care!!

It’s another common style in the city. Its sporty look makes it preferred by many people. It can have 3 or 5 doors. The door in the back is a top-hinged liftgate

Suv (Sports Utility Vehicle)
It is derived from the pickup truck, but it can hold more people inside.

Van
The van is a truck used for passengers or commercial use. It can have windows in the passenger side, or without windows if it’s for commercial use.
