Crime doesn't pay.


Today we will study some vocabulary related to crime. Nowadays it is not safe to walk alone at night; but if you have to: remember that walking with a friend is better.

Here you have a list of the most common crimes in this city:

Mugging
An attack on someone in a public place ir order to steal their money or other possessions.


Bank robbery
The crime of taking money or property illegaly often by using violence or threats.



Kidnapping
To illegaly take someone to a place and make them a prisoner.







Bribery
The crime of giving money or presents to someone so that they will help you by doing something dishonest or illegal.



Burglary
The crime of entering a building illegaly in order to steal things.




Murder
The crime of killing someone deliberately.



Pickpocketing
Stealing money or things from people, especially in crowded places.




Shoplifting
The crime of stealing things from a shop.




Vandalism
The act of deliberately damaging or destroying things, especially public property.




Rape
Have sex by using violence





Human smuggling
The practice of secretly and illegaly taking goods or people in or out of a country, especially as a way of earning money.
